Learning about regenerating our planet and our health
* All workshops will be in Portuguese *
Before we take from the land through the enjoyment of her beautiful space and musical experiences, we want to give something to her. Just as we wouldn’t expect to take from a friend, we would want to nurture the practice of reciprocity with our planet – of offering before receiving, of recognizing that she too, is a being, just like us.
Biovilla will be leading us in our workshops.
The collection and conservation of seeds of native species is extremely important for the regeneration of ecosystems. The limited availability of native seeds in the Portuguese market makes it the only alternative for large-scale use in projects of regeneration.
This workshop proposes a moment of connection and recognition of the landscape harvesting certain seeds from certain Portuguese flora to be used as part of reforestation projects across the country.
The Arrábida Natural Park has a unique biodiversity, which results in raw materials for the production of dehydrated herbs. This workshop begins with a tour of the Serra where the contemplation and ambient sound invigorates and re-energizes us.
We will carry out the regenerative pruning process, identify native species and discuss their different uses (in baths, poultices, infusions), harvest the material and treat it before dehydrating. A wonderful gift to share and spread the word of nature’s treats.
